Megan grew up in a small town outside of Fort Smith, Arkansas called Charleston. She played the Saxophone and did Color Guard in the Charleston Bands. When it was time to pick a college she was torn between going into the arts or into music. So, she got a band scholarship at Henderson State University and signed up for the graphic design program. Megan also met her husband, Stephen, while they both were participating in the Showband of Arkansas. He played Tuba while she was on the Color Guard. She graduated with a BFA in Digital Arts and Design in 2017.
Megan interned for the Highway Department in Little Rock, before she transferred to Magna IV Communications, in Little Rock, before graduating college. There she learned the ins and outs of print production from promotional products to large format printing. After leaving Magna she worked for the Little Rock Multicultural Communications Company, The Design Group. She learned marketing strategies and the importance of cultural narrative in well-coordinated designs to motivate, inspire and create change.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys playing video games, watching anime, painting, playing and being a dungeon master in Dungeons & Dragons, and playing with her Catahoula-Lab, Kida, and her two cats, Alphonse and Mei.
