Dillan was raised in Bryant AR and attended Bryant High School. After graduation, he moved to Conway to obtain his degree from the University of Central Arkansas. He found something that he enjoyed in covering sports as a reporter and videographer/ editor. Dillan graduated from UCA in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree. He majored in broadcast journalism and minored in digital filmmaking.
